I want this fabric!
I'd love to make some pillows with it...now I just need a brown sectional.

Ideas for Tucker's Big Boy Airplane Room
Tucker has been fascinated with a number of things lately, like Buzz Lightyear for one, but also airplanes. He always exclaims "aipay!" when he sees one in the sky. When he turns two, I am hoping to have a new bedroom theme for him, and I was hoping to go with airplanes. I want to make it a DIY but have been looking around for some inspiration. Here's some of my inspiration.
I found a tutorial on how to make airplane shelves, and thought it would be something that Gary would like to make for the room. There are a few images I found for them but this is the main idea.
Here's one that you don't have to hang.
This Etsy shop, graphicspaces, has a cute airplane vinyl wall decal that spells out your kid's name.
Check out this airplane light---I wouldn't do it exactly like this, but I like the idea.
I love the print of this airplane bedding.
And I totally want to make a bed that looks like an airplane. Hmmm... I've seen a few from my searches, and here's one I thought might work.
Here's another that I really like!
Take a look at this cute vintage airplane mobile.
Here's another mobile from here.
So this item was on Etsy, but it doesn't exist anymore. Such a good Idea! I totally have chalkboard spray-paint that I could use on fabric.

Love this to go over his bed.
Well, I am still keeping my eyes open for some more ideas, if I find any, I will post them!

Artwork I Want in My House
I love art--making it, looking at it, putting it in my home, studying it, etc.
In college I took Art History classes, and I loved them. I kept my book. Hard-bound and full of artwork. My husband once was teasing me while I was studying, and somehow, accidently, a cup of water spilled all over the page I had opened. I was devastated. I cried. Okay, I was pregnant and emotional, but still--it was on the page of Bernini's David. So I told my husband that he had to take me to Rome to see it in person since I couldn't see it on the wrinkled page in my book. He hasn't yet...maybe someday.
While I wait for Rome, I have had my eyes on replicas of these other beauties from elsewhere to put in my home.
The Large Turf 1503, Albrecht Durer
I just love this piece of turf. I love nature and I love these colors (the few that are there). I love that something so common, like a piece of grass, can be the whole focus of this piece and present itself so well. I so want it in my house!
I also love the message in Angelica Kauffman's painting of Cornelia, Mother of the Grachi.
In this painting, a woman asks the mother of the Grachi where her jewels are. As you can see, the mother of the Grachi directs the woman right to them. I love it! Isn't that what we all should consider our jewels? I want to put it in our guest bedroom that has these colors in it.
Well, those are just a few that I have had my eye on. Stay tuned, I'm sure I have some more that I'll post later sometime.

Just Me
I'm here to make a one stop place for all the things I love to do. It just so happens that I love art, photography, crafts, writing, graphic design, sewing, drawing, painting, organizing, being a mom and wife, adventures, reading, music, etc. etc. I just can't decide on one thing to focus on, even though I have tried in the past. I'm not here to work my but off to get followers, be the most popular blogger around, or meet the demands of others. This is just going to be me, being, well, me. And whenever I want. And if anyone wants to join me, go for it. I'm not going to stop you :)
